The Woman With No Name

I close my eyes to welcome sleep

Silencing my overactive mind

Sweet inspiration I hope to meet

Instead, only fear I find

A woman without name visits me

As I shut out the light

To a new world she carries me

She fills my heart with fright

Her distorted body approaches me

Twisting in strange ways

I open my eyes immediately

Hoping my mind obeys

But an empty room I see

So relieved, I lay in bed

Unafraid of the woman’s company

For she only exists in my head
